Housing Help

We know you have a lot going on during the day, but your home is where you should feel comfortable. We offer multiple services to help purchase your own home and keep the lights on.

Homebuyer Programs

Buying a home is a huge milestone. It isn’t always easy to accomplish, but with the right leg up, it could be closer than you think. We offer assistance and financial guidance when you’re ready to purchase your very own home. Get specific information on how we can help from your local Community Action Agency.

Rental Assistance

Times have been tough, and rent in Nevada continues to rise. If you need help paying part or all of your rent bill and are eligible, you can receive a subsidy that helps you stay in your home. Many Community Action Agencies even help with security or cleaning deposits.

Utilities Help

We understand you have competing priorities—and we’re here to help ensure your comfort at home isn’t compromised. These services include water/sewer, energy (like electricity and gas), trash, and even internet. If you need assistance setting one of these up or with paying a utility bill, we can help.

Weatherization Needs

Depending where you live in Nevada, you can experience all four seasons during the year. Weatherization refers to the measures taken to make sure your house or apartment is energy-efficient and protected from the elements. If your living situation could use this kind of improvement, check what kind of help you can receive from your local Community Action Agency.
